A slower Valentine’s practice
Sacred Stillness - Connection & Love, offered on February 15 at Centre Bodhi, opened another way to inhabit Valentine’s Day: less relational performance, more slowness, presence and choice.
The space welcomed people coming alone, couples and plural relationships. The frame made clear that connection does not have to follow one model. It can begin with breath, body listening and the possibility of saying yes, no or not now.
The flow
The format brought together restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, soft breathing and optional conscious touch. Practices were chosen to soften the pace, support more sensitive presence and keep the relationship with self as important as relationship with another person.
Touch was never required. Solo practice remained available at all times, keeping autonomy and consent at the centre of the experience.
What the workshop supported
The heart of the format was simple: make space where tenderness does not become another demand. Participants could slow down, be with themselves, meet another from a clearer place or simply rest inside practice.
This kind of workshop belongs to an important thread in Letitia’s work: connecting body, consent, inclusion and presence without forcing intimacy.
